Grrr

I missed another call today. I think its time to either change service or get myself a cell booster. It's sooo annoying to miss calls.

I worked tonight. Wow. what a mistake! Fridays are busy omfg. Way too busy. the only time I sat down was when I went to the washroom, and even then, I came back to six bills waiting for me :(

I even burnt my pinky finger :( I did get a compliment form the boss man about how clean the grill was though :D And the music on Fridays is way better than the music on Thursdays , so there is that!

Summer

It has been an AMAZING winter so far. Seriously AMAZING. We had one week of cold temperatures - and they were VERY cold, hitting - 50 some days, but for the most part, we have been in, or very very near, the plusses. No joke. Tomorrow it is supposed to hit PLUS FOUR by the afternoon! How much awesome could it get?

Well Summer is better (Minus the spiders) because I love the hot temperatures and all the weddings that are planned, seeing the beautiful dresses and crying when they say I do". Im such a sap LOL

Speaking of weddings, if you need a philadelphia wedding photographer, I know just the place. (hint, Linkage)

It is January 24th, so we have four weeks of February and buy march, it sometimes starts to warm up. One week of winter? NO ONE can complain about that!!

canddddddddy!

So we are heading on vacation near Easter, and I decided that since we will be spending a fair amount of time in swim suits, I should drop a few pounds - of course this is when the insane cravings hit me, Like this insanely big gummy bear. WANT.

I love candy. Sweet, sour, gummy or crunchy, I love it all. And it makes it that much harder to "diet". (The quotes are because how many freaking times have I said "Hey guys! I'm going on a diet!"and nothing happens? Yeah.)

and then there is the fact I work in a kitchen, with fries and chicken fingers and the best burgers anywhere....its hard tosay no!

Very happy

For Christmas, I got a new computer. its a pc desktops, one of the all in one kinds, there is no separate tower, its all built into the monitor. The screen is huge, 24 inches, I think (could be 20, I cannot recall, and I am not getting up to measure it!). Hubs also bought me a wireless mouse and a wireless keyboard to go with it, so I am sitting here on the couch and my computer monitor is over there, and away i go, in comfort, and without cords :D

I was SO sure that I wanted another laptop, but hubby convinced me to ttry the desktop route - I was worried that with all the parts you have to get, that a desktop was going to be way more expensive than just picking up a laptop, but this one, with a wireless mouse, keyboard and printer/scanner combo was less than 900 bucks, and that is pretty damn good, imo.

Hubs thought I should get a desktop because I fill up the innards of the laptop pretty quick taking pictures and now I have a terabyte of memory or whatever it is called, to use. Hubs thinks I wont be able to fill it, but I assured him that I would :D

In any case, I have been on the desktop now for a few weeks and while I am still trying to get used to this keyboard, i am loving the huge monitor and the speed this puppy has! Oh, and for once the speakers are loud enough that I can actually listen to my iTunes music on the computer!

Boom!

I changed from a Christmassy background to something more summery - its been WELL above seasonal temperatures here, it feels like we went from fall straight to spring. I understand that February we will get cold temperatures, but for right now, Im in a summery mood :D

We just hit the store for some Birthday gifts for the kids to take to a party they are going to tonight, a hockey game and sleep over, so fun for them. I'm heading to a passions party *wink wink* LOL with two co-workers, it should be a blast :D

Now that I have a job, and work about 20 hours a week - as opposed to the 6-12 hours I had been working, I have money to spend. Its not like im doing something specified like Transportation Attendant Jobs, im just a kitchen staff. I cook burgers LOL, but now that I am a "working woman" stuff like this passion party is something fun I can do without worrying about the cost of it. It's really fun

A lot

A lot has happened in the past few days!

Tonight Blake had his midyear kempo grading and received TWO yellow strip - the norm is to advance one stripe per grade, so two means he worked really hard! I am SO proud of him!

Logan lost a tooth last night, it was the funniest thing ever, I have a string of about 30 pictures on my phone of first logan trying to yank out the tooth, then of his brother trying to pull it out! It did of course come out, but the getting there was the funniest thing ever!

I went shopping Monday, all day, with my mother in law. We left the house at quarter to nine and got hiome at quarter to five. We had a BLAST! We hit all the liquadation sales and the auction too. We had a leisurely lunch at a resturaunt and hit the mall as well. I notcied a lot more frbo adverts than normal in the flyers as we passed the paper kiosks, but I guess with this economy thats to be expected.

I picked up some tiny gifts for friends and some pajamas for myself, and just generally had soooo much fun!

Merry Bang Bang!

Starting the morning of December 25th, this house is going to get very very noisy.
You see, we bought our seven year old son a five piece drum set, real drums.

Hubby and I have always been a lover of instruments, even though I can neither carry a tune nor play a tune to save my life! Hubs played saxapahone in high school and plays drums now, and watching our seven year old sit beside him with ice cream pails turned upside down, banging with a spoon, keeping time with his daddy really warmed our hearts!

Our oldest has a guitar, though he only pics at it, he isn't interested in lessons, though he does try to follow the books we got him. Our middle son is the only musical holdout it seems, though he does enjoy singing.

So, if you please, ear plugs in my stocking Christmas morning would be MUCH appreciated!!

Getting ready

Micah and Parker did a fundraiser for their karate group recently. they had to sell frozen cookie dough to raise money for their traveling - there is a tournament in Ontario they want to go to. They raised 411$, which is a pretty damn good amount, I figure. Plus, only two family members bought (myself and nana) so the rest was work for them.

I was expecting to have to wait for a few weeks to get my cookie dough - they only sent in the forms last Monday, but there was an email from their Sensei today that the cookie dough is in, so I will have it tonight :D

They have classes on Mondays, and I went to class for the first time last week to watch them. During break I got to meet the two sensei's, and they were both very nice. They were chatting with another group of adults about the incredible s price, which is something I don;t know much about - heck, I need Micah to set the alarm on my phone for me!

I do like my new phone though, I like having my calendar with me all the time, and I like having a place to jot notes. Annnnd I really like being able to post photos to facebook LOL

Winter Ice

One would think that I would never complain about the temperatures warning up, because hello, who likes the cold? Not me! And yet, with the temperatures rising above zero this week, the only thing I am thankful for is that I was able to get the snow off my driveway finally.

But at the same time, the roads have been freezing each night, and are slick as hell every morning, and my husband has to drive those icy dangerous roads, and I hate that!

We belong to a roadside assistance club, so if the car breaks down, fine, but the car breaking down is't what I am worried about, I worry about him crashing, or someone else crashing into him, because the roads are so so so so bad!

So yep, here I am, the only person in the world who likes to complain when the temperatures rise in the winter!

Christmas In the Air

The flyers were delivered today along with the requisite Christmas toys r us coupons and flyer. It's so cute watching the children page through the flyers and catalogs that keep coming, watching then write their lists, and then re-write the list when they find something new is overly amusing to me, especially as we have already finished the majority of our christmas shopping,s o it doesn't matter what they write down!

I've no clue what to get my step mother nor my father in law, but other than that, we are either done, or know what we need and its just a matter of us picking it up.

on Friday my husband mentioned that with the new fallen snow, it felt like christmas, Like Christmas eve! We won't be putting the tree up until The first Saturday in December, and thats when it really starts feeling Christmassy to me!
