I have a question

When Me and Hubs got married we did not spend a fortune to do it. In fact WE did not spend more that what our wedding rings cost. Our parents paid for our wedding in desperation to see a ring on my finger before their grandson was born.

I bought my wedding flowers at Safeway. They were beautiful, purple daisies, dyed to match my wedding colors. Since they were real it was not hard for me to toss them out after they were dead. But my cake. Oh my cake was beautiful. Again, we did not spend a bunch on this wedding and the cake was a gift from my fathers boss. She made it in her kitchen.

It was three teired, (sp??) each one a heart, smaller than the one below it. The icing was an exact match (purple) as my wedding colors... I could go on and on. The top level of the cake was made out of foam so we do not have to worry over much about it rotting.. uhm.. does icing rot?

Anyway. I have - HAVE - to clean out the basement storage. I no longer have a choice in the matter becuase -- (shhhh.. don't tell anyone, but when I open the door, it starts falling out. This is no closet - this is a ROOM)

One of the things in that room is a box with the top level of my wedding cake. I have not so much as peeked at it in EIGHT years. SO by rights, I should toss it out. But... I can't, and until I can figure out what to do with the cake, I cannot force myself to begin tackling that room.

IF the cake is still fine, after eight years in a cardboard box, thats a big if, does anyone know of any sort of box .. or case or something that I can store it in and see it? I have looked in crafting stores for a clear, sealable box, with no luck, so its up to you Interwebs.

please - give me a solution!
