Today my eldest brought home a form for life insurance for kids home from school.
Serious.
I am pretty shocked about this!
On one hand, yes funerals are expensive, and life insurance would be an easy way to cover that cost, but on the other, say you insure them for 150,000, there is no funeral that costs that much. How are you going to spend the rest of the money without feeling sick and disgusted.
Look! I got a new car! Cus my kid died! Yay!
And why are schools sending this stuff home? How wrong is that? I did not spend more than few seconds looking at the front page, but I do not send my kids to school wondering if I am getting a new car by the end of the day!
Maybe this is not a local thing. Do the schools in your area do this too?
