Work Place Hazards

I know that it is often frowned upon to talk about a persons work place online.

Dooced.

Fabbed.

Fired.

But I am still ticked off about something that happened to my husband at work a week ago. I will not mention where he works, but he is a welder for a very very large company. He was working with a plasma cutter, head bent down paying attention to what he is doing, ear plugs in becuase that is a work place rule, when behind him there was a huge bang. He turned around and literally feet from where he was standing was a tipped over rack. On the rack were two and five hundred pound pieces.

Had they been dropped just a few feet closer he would not be here today.

But thats not what makes me mad. Not. The part that bugs me is that the forklift driver was not paying attention and knocked them over. the fork lift driver did not even stop to make sure everyone was OK.

This is the same guy they have caught parked in a quiet corner catching a nap. The same one who has run into people - breaking a guys leg - the same one who - I could go on and on.

The fact of the matter is that no one is safe around this guy. This has been proven in mutiple ways and yet he is still working there.
