Eleven years ago when I met my husband he had a bed. It is the same bed we are using now and it is rock hard. I hate it with a passion. The bed frame itself used to be a water bed that his parents converted - thanks to a handy piece of plywood - into a "normal" bed frame.
When I was pregnant with my boys I needed a little stool to get up and into it.
I really, really want a new bed, or at the very least a more comfortable mattress, but mattresses are super expensive, so thats a far off in the distance kind of dream.
If I had the money to go out right now and buy a new mattress I would buy a Memory Foam mattress. From having my babies, and bad posture I have a curve in my lower back that is no supported at all with our current mattress. To sleep I need to use a body pillow as well as two standard sized pillows to support my hips and back.
With the help of Hubs ( Who played the very scary monster in the corner) and Rainbow Man (The Star!) I made a commercial about Bed in a Box and their awesome memory foam mattress.

Sorry. Maybe it just looks tiny from the angle and that you are longer than you look in pictures. I meant that you were tiny in the thin sort of way.
