September Twentyth, 2003, Tom And Sheila's lives changed.

To mark the anniversary, Sheila wrote a four part post on what took place that day. I won't try and explain it to you, not when she did it so much better than I ever could. In fact, the two of them have dealt with this with much more strength, humility and sanity than I ever could.

I have seen the Perfect Post awards around for a good long time, but have never been moved to award one before.

I could feel the tears coming already. “I don’t want to leave you.”

“Sheila, you have to go call 911.”

Tom continued to work on convincing me to leave him to go back to our house to call 911. He was, somehow, the rational one in this situation. I couldn’t figure out why he, the one who had been lying for three hours waiting for someone to find him, could be so calm. All I could guess is he already had time to assess the situation, and had gone through his stage of panic and was past that.

I, on the other hand, was freaking out.

I have to admit something.

I am listening to Christmas Carols right now.

In the heat of summer, I can't do it, but the minute there is a nip in the air i feel the urge to hear them again! In fact, last night I wrapped a Christmas Present!

I love Christmas, the smells the stress, the excitement!

This Christmas should be interesting, with a puppy!

Bloggers exist to storytell. No think about it, whether you are journaling your life to remember better what you did the year before or you are specifically writing to entertain, you are telling a story. Some stories are true and some are fiction, but all of them are the bread and butter to a blogger.

One of the reasons I love having more than one blog is that on my main blog, Bluepaintred, I feel I should only post once a day. People have come to expect one post, late in the evening.(does that sound pompous?)

In any event, I often have things during the day I would like to blog about as they happen, but wait till evening to post on BPR and end up forgetting most of it.

With multiple blogs I can post whenever I feel like it.

Take this morning. I wrote about m Sweet little potpie kitteh scaring away a sales man. Had I tried to write that tonight, it would end up being a one line sentence in a sea of words. And now, with Where was I really kicking off, I can write till my hearts content!

Recently I joined Smorty.

Smorty is a service connecting advertisers with bloggers. Advertisers can pay bloggers to write opinion posts with links back to the advertisers site.

I have been a member of Smorty on my other blog, Paint for quite a few months. The system is easy to use, with members receiving an email every time a new oppertunity they qualify for comes up.

The internet is exploding with business opportunities, and people like you and me are cashing in! With the advances in ecommerce software, regular every day people with no business training can set up and manage an online store.

It is really important to have good quality shopping cart software for any online business. People are not going to go through a hassle to get their product, not when the internet is there to make shopping hassle free!

I know myself that when I have to click here and go there and enter this here, I am more likely to just close off the window and shop elsewhere.

If I had a product to sell online I would be sure to research all of the available products to make running my business smoothly, and so should you! I have several friends online who sell different products. I wonder if they know about ashop and the software they carry...

Little dusty in here, isn't it??

I ordered a template for this little ole blog, but it still hasn't arrived and that makes me rather sad. I emailed them over and over in august and told them not to ruin their summer worrying about it, that i dont need it until September, but now September is here and still, no template.

Think I should email them again? I do not want to make a pest of myself!

How am I supposed to see this? I can deal with made up words, captchas are supposed to be difficult for a bot to spell and type out, but having only half the words showing , and on the fifty dollar 1K opp no less. This is the second 1K opp I have tried to take in the past few hours. This time, learning from experience, I didn't bother to try, it will refuse my guesses like last time.

So now I am out a *possible* 50.oo becuase of the captcha?
