April is ten days away

In the Us, taxes are due by the 15th of the month, but here in Canada we have an extra two weeks to file. Ours have to be post marked by the last day in April.

Instead of filing by ourselves, we go to the H&R Block in the city and have them do it. Sure you have to pay to have it done, but at least I can sleep peacefully at night that it has been done right.

last year was a huge clusterfuck in terms of Tax Readyness. I had next to no documentation saved, but we got lucky and had a very good Tax Auditor, He must have been in investor relations in a previous life.

He helped us, very patiently to estimate all the things we needed numbers for, and gave us a very clear list of things to save to help with this years tax time.

All of our receipts and papers we filed in appropriate places, so all that will be left for me to get ready, is to take a calculator to them and add up the numbers.

In past years I have dreaded the coming of April, but this year, I am more anxious about getting hte last of Blue Boys gifts in order before his birthday!
