Travlin'Man

I have that "Travlin' Man" song stuck in my head all day.

We hit the road first thing in the morning.

In fact, earlier than first thing - at least in my opinion.

My very sadistic and MEAN husband would like us up at FIVE AM. IN THE MORNING. I think it's illegal, to tell the truth. Cruel and unusual punishment even!

No need for me to be worrying about motorhome insurance, I'll be too dead (tired) to care! I am super bad in the morning. I don't even know how to explain properly how bad I am in the morning. I NEED sleep. without sleep, and lots of it, I cannot function. Putting pants on is more than I can deal with. (I set a nice slip it over the head dress to wear tomorrow)

And yet. I will have to stay awake to help keep hubs company!

This will NOT go well.

At all.

Cus me and sleep, we are BFF's

Dog Care 101

I have to w gos. I like them. Somedays. I mean, I'm not horribly fond of my big dog when she bites me, but still. They are my pets, regardless if one of them likes to bite me or not, and it is my responsibility to care for them. And care for them well.

So part of me caring for my pets is that I feed them daily. I give them fresh water more than daily. I brush them, I hug them and I talk to them. I give them treats and teach them manners - or I try too.

I DO NOT leave them in a car in plus 25 weather for hours (at least four) while I visit people in the hospital. I do not tie them, in full sun to truck grills, while I sit 100 yards away at a nice shaded picnic table enjoying ice cream.

I hear the saying "Pets are people too" and I disagree. Animals are not people. If there was a choice between human and animal, I would save the human, BUT, as a human, when I made the conscious decision to bring a pet into my life, I made the decision to care for it - PROPERLY, and if you force me, I will choose to call someone who can make you look after your pet as well. Like I did when I called Animal Control about the little poodle in the car at the hospital.

Going Green

Almost every store in our town has gone green, which is great, except I keep forgetting those bags I spent 2.99 on and having to purchase the stupid plastic bags anyway.

Green shopping is worth it, I guess, from an environmental stand point, but since I suck suck suck at remembering things, this whole change to green has been a hassle for me.

I like Costco. When we shop there, it is usually boxes of food, or bigger items and Costco never has the bag option. Instead they offer boxes that you can use to cart your stuff to your vehicle. Often we are buying foods that are already packaged in boxes and don't use on of the store boxes. Grocery shopping, with all the little things that need to be bought, you NEED bags! (I guess a box could work, but you need something!)

AHNYway. I was just thinking about how on Friday it is Hub's payday and we go shopping every Saturday after payday except this Saturday we will be heading down to my dad's house to mud, sand and paint some exposed drywall before dad gets antsy and tries to do it himself!

I guess we can do our shopping Friday evening. Or Sunday. Doesn't really matter, I guess, It's not like I will remember to bring the bags !
