We don't get mail delivered over the weekend in Canada - I'm not sure that anyone gets mail delivered over the weekend, but anyway, that means that Friday is a special day when it comes to mail.
Especially when we are waiting on things. For example, Books.
I ordered five books - or was it four? I can't even remember, and they aren't due to be here until next Wednesday, but I have never, ever had an Amazon order come the day it is slated to come, it always comes before that day, so we were really hoping that the mail would have that super special brown cardboard box that means our order has come.
It did not.
It had bills.
And two baby shower invitations which is cool 'cus I love wandering through the baby sections looking at those teeny tiny clothes and remembering my boys when they were that small.
Although....I'm not too fond of those stupid baby shower games.

I HATE baby shower games. Almost as much as I hate listening to the inevitable horror stories about giving birth. I find those stories to be slightly sadistic--what pregnant woman needs to hear that crap within months or weeks or going thru it herself?!
On the other hand, the food at baby showers is usually pretty yummy!
h man the food is the best, the last one I went to had this bean dip- it was out of this world. AMAZING.
It bugs me when people tell mean birth stories too.
